Johnstons of Elgin

Johnstons of Elgin, renown manufacturers of tweeds, tartans and cashmere have been weaving beautiful cashmere and woollen products since 1797 when the company was established at its present site in Elgin, Morayshire, on the banks of the River Lossie in north-east Scotland.

As far back as 1851 the company pioneered the weaving of Vicuna and Cashmere, and these fibres remain the foundation of the company’s products.

Current ranges include: 'Pastoral Elegance', traditional fibres inpired by the classic and elegant interior colour palette of historic homes; 'Scottish Heritage' inspired by earthy colours and charming hues of the Scottish Highlands; 'Young Country', a contemporary and informal feel, light and airy inspired by the simple colours of Scandinavian interiors; 'Tweeds', the tweed story echos Johnstons of Elgin's proud heritage which spans over two centuries of skill and craftsmanship.
